About Dive Technologies
"The mission of Dive Technologies is to design and manufacture novel or next-generation autonomous underwater vehicles — so think drones, but for the ocean — and what we’re doing is unique in that it’s infinitely customizable and low cost, so we feel we can meet the needs of a lot of customers for subsea data collection, and we can do it at a price point that can allow us to fully proliferate the market.
Technology is right in our name and what we do is a compilation of mechanical, electrical and software disciplines, and the end-state is a novel autonomous underwater vehicle."
Cybersecurity and IT Support
We sat down with Sam Russo, COO of Dive Technologies, to hear their technology story, and what they think of working with Synagex.

"which is a really important part of what we do. In order to bid certain jobs for our customers, namely the US government, we need to make sure that we’re
complying with the various stringent cybersecurity standards,
and Synagex has been very helpful — initially with assessing our current readiness, but then with helping us to build a plan to be compliant and to scale the company appropriately."
"We see ourselves scaling pretty quickly in the sense that we’ll hire more employees and of course on boarding employees means getting them into our IT infrastructure. Synagex does all of that for us. They also help with all of our daily IT needs, the help desk type stuff. More importantly, as we scale and think about our strategy, cybersecurity and CMMC is important for all of that, because we need to be able to go out and bid and win new work, and in order to do that we need to be compliant with certain CMMC standards with the US government. Synagex is working with us hand-in-hand to make sure that we can meet those standards."

They’re quick, they’re efficient, they triage our needs and help us very quickly. They took the time to understand our needs as a company, and then they told us what the solutions would look like, or what the options might be. The tools that they came up with are far and away the best tools that we could be leveraging, and I'm not sure that we ever would have found them on our own — so its really a credit to their team."
"We knew that we were creating a technology that would be applicable to both commercial and defense markets, but what I think we underestimated was just how challenging it would be from an IT infrastructure standpoint to meet the needs of the US government cybersecurity standards. So we started to look into CMMC and how that pertains to working with CUI on our network and as we did that it was probably more challenging than we could take on internally as a team. This is where Synagex became really helpful to us. It’s where we first started to talk with them to bring them on board and have them work with CyberSaint to conduct an assessment of our cybersecurity gaps and then build out a plan that would help us to get to CMMC level 3 compliance. This allows us to bid on most, if not all, the work that we see ourselves being able to deliver on for the US government."
